Pumpkin pie for breakfast? With protein? I’m listening. A little dessert-for-breakfast situation you can prep the night before. Very good without toppings. Very good with.

Savory Fig & Cheese Puff Pastries, Two Ways
When leftovers become next-day brekkie. These easy puff pastries combine buttery, flaky pastry with fig jam, Canadian bacon, and melty cheese. I made five Camembert tarts with toasted pecans, plus one bonus pepper jack pocket using what I had in the fridge. Feel free to stick with Camembert for all six and use up what you have!

Apple Turnovers 🍎
For my last day in New England, I had to make one more thing with my freshly picked apples before heading back to San Diego. Apple turnovers are one of my dad's favorites, and honestly, they're much easier than they look. Store-bought puff pastry does most of the heavy lifting, but you still get the warm cinnamon apples, buttery layers, and a kitchen that smells like fall. One last little taste of home. 🤎
