The recipe
Ingredients
How to make it
Preheat oven to 400°F.
On a parchment-lined baking sheet, drizzle small circles of honey. Layer each with thinly sliced shallot, pear, prosciutto and Gruyère.
Cut the puff pastry into rectangles and place one over each pile, gently pressing around the edges to tuck everything underneath.
Whisk the egg with a splash of water and brush over the puff pastry.
Bake for 15 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
Let them cool for a minute, then carefully flip them over and serve warm.

Apple Pie with All-Butter Crust
Apple pie has always been one of my favorites. Whenever I’m home in Massachusetts in the fall, apple picking and a homemade pie are pretty much a given. I have so many good memories of the oven warming the kitchen while it’s cold outside, the whole house smelling like cinnamon apples and buttery crust, and everyone finding their way into the kitchen for a slice. It’s one of those little traditions that makes being home feel like home.
